Mama's Picture
Some families are definately not at their best after the death of a loved one, as wills are read, inheritances sorted out, and worldly goods distributed far and wide. All the poor guy in this song wants is Mama's picture hanging in the hall. But should we believe him?

Lyrics
When the telephone rang I knew right away
Old Alexander had finished his days
They buried him deep but it didn't take long
For the relatives to start picking his bones

Paula has her name on the croconole game
The dresser at the top of the stairs
Joey has his eye on the four wheel drive
With chrome going every which way

Chorus:

But all I want is Mama's picture
Hanging in the hall it'll be my treasure
Just a little something to remember
The way things used to be
All I want is mama's picture
Hanging on the wall it'll last forever
I don't want his money they can have it all
I want Mama's picture hanging in the hall

They rolled out the carpet when the lawyers came
Trying to break the will was the name of the game
Fiddle with the words before they're read
Some people have no respect for the dead

The girls in the city have a big plan
To subdivide the propery
They've got to find out without any doubt
What he did and he didn't mean

Repeat Chorus

It's all I want
That's all I want (3)
I don't want his money they can have it all
I want Mama's picture hanging in the hall

Repeat First Verse
Repeat Chorus and End
